Additional Information

The FORM academy (Foundations of Refined Movement) Mat and Reformer Pilates Instructor Certification combines structured self-paced online theoretical modules with face-to-face practical intensives delivered at Little Mandarin Yoga & Pilates, Melbourne. Little Mandarin is an established Melbourne-based movement studio operating for almost a decade, with locations across the CBD, Camberwell, and Blackburn.

The program is led by Nursah Katkak, registered musculoskeletal and women’s health physiotherapist and Pilates educator with over six years of experience, and emphasises applied anatomy, biomechanics-informed movement analysis, and risk-aware programming to promote safe participation and high-quality instruction.

The purpose of this program is to develop comprehensive understanding of the Mat and Reformer Pilates repertoire; build applied knowledge of functional anatomy and biomechanics relevant to Pilates instruction; develop structured teaching methodology and session design skills; equip participants with safe exercise prescription and modification capabilities, and foster professional conduct aligned with industry standards. Applicants are expected to have a minimum 25 hours of prior Pilates practice.

The certification is delivered in two integrated components:
1. Online delivery is self-paced and includes recorded modules to build underpinning knowledge for safe and effective Pilates teaching.
2. Face-to-Face Practical Intensives: Following completion of the online theoretical modules, participants attend six structured face-to-face intensive training days delivered in Melbourne across three weeks.
