This workshop provides trainers with the knowledge necessary to conduct static and dynamic postural assessments of their clients. Analyzing the information correctly and prescribing an appropriate exercise program that will lead to restoring function and helping clients to feel better and move more effectively. The workshop is broken down into eight different sections. Each section focuses on different factors of assessing posture - exercise prescription and typical postural conditions. It initially focuses on what posture is and what contributes to poor posture. This then leads into common postural dysfunctions and an analysis of what muscles tighten up and which muscles lengthen and weaken. A full run through of a static and dynamic postural assessment is demonstrated. Time is then given to the participants to assess each other before the course moves into concentrating on appropriate exercise prescription that target’s in on certain postural conditions. This practical component covers foam roller techniques - functional stretches and integrated exercises which all assist in helping to restore function. The workshop specifically covers the following: •Posture – What is it? •Ideal posture •Postural dysfunctions/conditions •Joint mobility vs stability •Static posture assessment •Dynamic posture assessment •Foam Roller techniques •Mobilisers/Dynamic stretches •Integrated/Corrective Exercises
