This course is for healthy populations and will use the RPX Method as a tool for teaching Pilates based Reformer exercises. The concept of creating stability through improving mobility throughout the body will be explored. The roll of factors such as poor posture - fascia - and perception pain will be examined in how they can restrict movement. Participants will learn to identify faulty or inefficient movement patterns and understand how Slow Movement Eccentric training as well as - the use of Balance Training can effectively enhance motor learning and improved performance. Techniques such a sequential training - disassociation - proper queuing - regression/progression - as well as - applying the concept of tolerance and effective loading will be provided as a means to assist instructors in teaching complex multi-plane Reformer exercises. The movements demonstrated in this course will focus on beginner to advanced repertoire. Special emphasis will be placed on transitions of movement - which will enable the trainer to create an uninterrupted flow of exercises. When performing movement - the emphasis will be on creating Stability - Endurance and Motor Control as well as - how to efficiently used the correct sequence of muscles to safely achieve the task to minimize the risk of injury.
