The four week online course will cover: * Understanding older adults and the challenges they face * Teachings basics and challenges - and how to become a great instructor * Music and musicality to understanding phrasing and how to build a routine * Basic and advanced freestyle aerobics moves for both standing and seated workouts * Class styles for older adults - ideas for choreography - structure - motivation and exercises * Teaching a chair-based class - working the body and the brain * Working with limitations - when things go wrong - and teaching do's and don't's This is a comprehensive introduction to working with older adults and seniors - covering a huge range of topics. We include videos - demonstrations - interviews - examples - and handouts all the way through - so you will have loads of ideas and information to get you started. Assessment: There is both a theoretical and practical component to the assessments.
