Sports Medicine Australia (SMA) is a national not-for-profit organisation supporting the health, safety and performance of active Australians. We are a leading provider of evidence-based education and training for the sport, fitness, health and community sectors.
SMA delivers nationally recognised and industry-relevant courses including HLTAID011 Provide First Aid, HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), and the Sports Trainer Level 1 and 2 programs. These courses are designed to improve safety outcomes and build capability across the active health and sport sectors.
Our training is grounded in contemporary research and aligned with best-practice standards in sport and exercise medicine. We work with schools, sporting organisations, universities, fitness professionals and industry partners to strengthen practical skills that support safe participation in physical activity.
Courses are delivered by experienced educators with strong clinical and applied backgrounds, ensuring high-quality and practical learning outcomes.
AUSactive members receive a 15% discount across SMA training programs. While originally focused on CPR and First Aid, this benefit now extends across our broader suite of courses, including Mental Health First Aid and other selected training offerings.
SMA is committed to building a safer, more informed, and more active population through high-quality education, research, and industry collaboration.
