Professional Bio

Karina SantamarĂ­a is the Founder and Creator of the Latino Blast Dance Aerobics program, a high-energy, performance-driven fitness concept that challenges the body while empowering confidence, expression, and mental strength. Latino Blast is recognised for delivering a dynamic training experience that hits different from traditional dance-fitness programs, combining athletic conditioning, freestyle choreography, and strong leadership.

Originally from Peru, Karina relocated to Australia in 2004 with an academic background in Law and Political Science, alongside several years of experience as an aerobics instructor. After validating her qualifications and skills within the Australian fitness industry, she established Latino Blast and began building a program rooted in community, creativity, and professional excellence.

Karina has extensive experience teaching freestyle aerobics, dance fitness, Pilates-based training, and boxing-inspired workouts, and is known for designing programs that are inclusive, challenging, and results-focused. Her approach integrates physical conditioning with mindset development, encouraging participants to build strength, resilience, and confidence through movement.
Beyond her work as an instructor, Karina is a leader and mentor, supporting and developing other fitness professionals who wish to teach Latino Blast or grow as confident, ethical group fitness instructors. Over the years, she has built a strong and loyal community of instructors and participants, contributing to the industry not only through classes, but through mentorship, education, and program development.
Karina continues to play an active role in the Australian fitness industry as a program creator, educator, and community leader, committed to evolving group fitness standards and supporting both instructors and participants in their professional and personal growth.
