Professional Bio

Jaymee Ellis is a personal trainer and group fitness instructor based in regional Victoria and the owner of Genki Fit, a community-focused fitness business built on the belief that movement should be accessible, inclusive, and welcoming for everyone.

With over 10 years’ experience in the fitness industry, Jaymee specialises in delivering accessibility-friendly group fitness, low-pressure personal training, and community-based programs that prioritise confidence, connection, and long-term wellbeing. Her approach is grounded in the understanding that traditional fitness spaces can be intimidating, exclusionary, or inaccessible - particularly for people living in rural areas, those new to exercise, neurodivergent individuals, people returning to movement after injury or illness, and those facing financial or social barriers.

Jaymee’s work is guided by a strong social impact lens. Through Genki Fit, she delivers low-cost classes, free and subsidised programs, and outreach initiatives that remove common barriers such as cost, confidence, transport, and fitness literacy. Her sessions are designed to be adaptable for different abilities and energy levels, with a strong emphasis on safety, choice, and enjoyment.

Alongside her fitness qualifications, Jaymee has a background in communications, community development, and youth engagement, and is currently completing postgraduate study in health promotion. This informs her holistic, strengths-based approach to health: recognising that wellbeing is shaped by social connection, environment, and opportunity, not just individual motivation.

Jaymee is passionate about creating inclusive, judgement-free spaces where people feel supported to move their bodies in ways that feel good, sustainable, and empowering at any age or stage of life.
