Welcome to the Strength PT! My name is David Cheung. I am the owner of the Strength PT. During the day, I work as a Tech. Engineer at my local high school, but in my free time, I train, coach, & motivate others as the Strength PT. I have a passion for helping people build mental & physical strength, one rep at a time, through strength training & the sport of powerlifting.
I am an AUSactive Level 3 accreditied Personal Trainer/Strength Coach with over 25 years’ experience in strength training & the Australian powerlifting community. I have been a four-time Australian Open & Masters Champion, a three-time Australian representative at the IPF World Masters & representative at the USAPL World Masters Cup in the United States.
The Strength PT was established to coach the principles of strength training & powerlifting to anyone interested in an activity that builds physical strength & mental resilience for their health & competitive wellbeing. Everyone can benefit from strength training & powerlifting, regardless of body type, age, ability, or gender—weight does not discriminate.
